Rogue Trader

War for Damaris Phase 3
They're in the walls!

After last night’s session I’ve updated the tactical deployments of the Levy units for the defense of Damaris. Following the massive influx of Ork Roks, the ground war took a turn for the worse as huge Ork incursions supported by heavy weapons and vehicles smashed through the West Walls and have begun pouring into the city!. With a breach in the walls, the Orks have begun forces into the city proper and have started attacking key installations, such as city infrastructures, the Starport, etc.

I would like to highlight one change – now that the Orks are within the city walls, they can threaten all inner locations to various extents. This is different than what I told you all last night, sorry! To reflect my misreading of the text, I’ll allow a redeployment at the next session to compensate.

Your current deployments can be seen here: Damaris Levy Deployment

Next week will start off with the current mission to track down Ork raiders as requested by Magos Hadron Shard of the Forge.

Rogue Trader Reactivation
RT back in action!

Greetings all,

Now that the 6th term exams are (mostly) done for those of us who had the misfortune of having to take them, we can resume our campaign! As usual, our sessions will be at the normal time (7:30pm-ish) Monday nights, at Willamette 350. My lab is also moving very soon into our new lab space which includes a brand new conference room, which we might be able to move to if it turns out to be better than our current space.

I’ll save a full recap for the next session, but as a teaser, where we left off last session was the Dynasty, along side Cpt. Locke and a system ship had just repulsed a trio of Ork frigates which had been pursuing the naval Firestorm-class frigate, Adamant. The captain of Adamant, Commander Algor DuRanes, arrived with orders to retrieve Cpt. Locke and her vessel, Aegis back to Port Wander. With the orks defeated, the fate of the Damaris Space Defense lies in your hands…

See you all at tomorrow sessions!

Damarin Levy Deployment - Week 2
Levy Deployment

Greetings explorers,

I’ve uploaded last nights deployments list to reflect the new changes in the Levy units in the defense of Damaris.

The wiki page can be found here: Damaris Levy Deployment

Post script: I’ve also uploaded new background information on the Forsellis System, which can be found here: The Forsellis System

Rogue Trader Images

Weekend greetings,

Over the months I’ve collected many Rogue Trader images that don’t always get incorporated into the game either through lack of printing, or lack of time. I’ve created a photobucket album to better share these for the group. Many of the illustrations are actually character portraits by other groups, and could serve as inspiration for your own!

The world of Warhammer 40k is rich in detail and lore, and images can really help with getting the feel of the 40k universe, so if you feel like exploring a little, click the link below!

Damaris NPCs

Currently I’ve been working on getting all the major NPCs input on here for your background reading pleasure. I’ve abbreviated their biographies to how much your characters already know about them, new ones have small blurbs, whereas well known characters have full biographies listed. For those without much information, a test is listed in case you are interested in learning more about the NPCs, these rolls can be done during our sessions. If they are passed, I’ll upload their biographies accordingly. Enjoy!

RT Housekeeping
Obsidian Portal

Hello RT explorers!

To try to enhance our Rogue Trader playing sessions, I’m giving Obsidian Portal a shot to try to better organize the various information that normally gets handed out during our sessions. Sessions work great for in-game handouts, reading quotes, roleplaying and such, but leaves something to be desired as far as in depth background information, maps, characters, etc. While GMing for Rogue Trader, I’ve often found that there is a wealth of background information about whatever planet the group may be on, and unless I sit there and read it all to you (which is very boring), very little of it gets communicated. To try to alleviate this, I’ll be uploading background information, NPC lists, recent action, maps, etc all for your perusal when we are not gaming. My hope is that with all this background information readily accessible, we can all enjoy a richer experience during our normal play sessions.

Obsidian portal isn’t just a one-way flow of information – you can upload items too! Feel free to post your own character biographies as well, or upload a blog post about the recent ongoings of the Arbiter dynasty.

For now, there’s not much on here, but I intend on uploading more information as I have time – the goal to use this site as a repository for you all to use freely.

Welcome to your Adventure Log!
A blog for your campaign

Every campaign gets an Adventure Log, a blog for your adventures!

While the wiki is great for organizing your campaign world, it’s not the best way to chronicle your adventures. For that purpose, you need a blog!

The Adventure Log will allow you to chronologically order the happenings of your campaign. It serves as the record of what has passed. After each gaming session, come to the Adventure Log and write up what happened. In time, it will grow into a great story!

Best of all, each Adventure Log post is also a wiki page! You can link back and forth with your wiki, characters, and so forth as you wish.

One final tip: Before you jump in and try to write up the entire history for your campaign, take a deep breath. Rather than spending days writing and getting exhausted, I would suggest writing a quick “Story So Far” with only a summary. Then, get back to gaming! Grow your Adventure Log over time, rather than all at once.
